Wilton Waste Management Ltd and its director Richard Stannard have been told to pay a total £67,500 after being prosecuted for improperly storing their waste and operating without correct permits.

Data published on the Environment Agency’s National Packaging Waste Database shows that between January and March 2012, only 1.72 million tonnes of waste was recovered or recycled compared with 1.80 million tonnes during the same period the year before.
