Intimate relations

You’ve heard of take-back schemes for cars and computers, well, what about one for bras? Lucky Italian fashionistas could take advantage of just such an offer over the holiday season last year: lingerie brand Intimissimi ran a six-week campaign during which women could bring in used brassieres in exchange for €3 towards new ones. And discounts on fresh intimates weren’t the only advantage of the deal: the bras themselves found new life when mixed with other fabrics to make soundproof insulating panels. Forget about ‘unmentionables’, this is one scheme that definitely shouldn’t stay undercover.
