Every year we run awards that highlight achievement in the community waste sector. Now in its 7th year, the 2009 Resource Awards will take place at the Business Design Centre in London on 1 December as part of the REalliance Conference and Exhibition.

If you know an organisation or are an organisation that deserves recognition then now is the time to get involved.

Nominations are open until 23 November for the following categories:

Community Recycler of the Year - sponsored by Novelis
This award is given to the company demonstrating the best all-round contribution to its locality and the environment. As well as resource recovery, we consider the role candidates play in educating and engaging with stakeholders in their area.

Best Partnership Project - sponsored by Yell
This award recognises a community waste enterprise that has forged a successful relationship with government and other agencies to make a key difference to the service it provides.
